RideLah ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use our mobile application ("App") and website. By using RideLah, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide a seamless price comparison experience for e-hailing services.

A. Personal Information (Identity)

When you create an account, we collect the following to verify your identity and secure your profile:

  • Email Address
  • Phone Number
  • First Name
  • Last Name

B. Location Information (Precise)

To function as a ride aggregator, RideLah requires access to your Precise Location (GPS).

  • Why we need it: We use your current location to automatically populate the "Pick-Up" field and fetch real-time price estimates from e-hailing providers nearby.
  • When we access it: We only access your location while you are actively using the App (Foreground). We do not track your location in the background or when the App is closed.

C. Usage and Analytics Data

We collect non-identifiable data on how you use the App to improve our services (e.g., which areas have high search traffic or common destinations). This includes:

  • Device type and operating system.
  • Search queries (Pick-up and Drop-off points).
  • Time and date of searches.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To aggregate and display ride options from third-party providers (e.g., Grab, Bolt, Maxim).
  • Account Management: To manage your registration and login access.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze traffic patterns and demand hot-spots to improve app performance.
  • Communication: To send you service updates or security alerts regarding your account.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

RideLah is an aggregator. We share data strictly to facilitate your ride selection.

A. E-Hailing Providers

When you select a ride option (e.g., "Book on Grab"), we use deep-linking technology to open the selected third-party app.

  • What we pass: We pass the coordinates (Pick-up/Drop-off) to the third-party app so your trip details are pre-filled.
  • What we DO NOT pass: We do not share your Email, Phone Number, or Account ID with these providers. You remain anonymous to them until you confirm the booking inside their app.

B. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information only as long as your account is active.

Your Right to Delete (Apple/Google Compliance): You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

  • In-App: You can delete your account immediately by navigating to Settings - Delete Account.
  • By Email: You may also request deletion by contacting us at support@ridelah.xyz.

Upon deletion, your Email and Phone Number are permanently removed from our database.

5. Security of Your Data

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information and we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Service allows users who are of legal age to utilize e-hailing services in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete this from our servers.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
